“The Unknown“ is not only the name of the first song Dillon wrote for her album in 2014. In this song the Brazilian singer and pianist living in Germany sings about the part of life that has no limits. The unknown can be anything: love, loss, transcendence, fear or desire.

“The lyrics are far more abstract and open, even though they are equally personal and introverted”, says Dillon. Her voice has been compared to the likes of Björk and Lykke Li. Her pieces are gloomy; they convey a kind of immersion that by no means has to be melancholic. “We all suffer”, Dillon says, “but it’s important to process this suffering.”
